Berkeley, California. -The fly of the sacrifice of Luke Gaffney in the seventh round beaten 3-3 equality and withdrew the No. 4 Clemson to a 4-3 victory against California at Stade Stade St Gordon on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers, who swept the 3-0 series and won their fifth consecutive match, improved at 30-5 in total and 9-3 in ACC. The Golden Bears fell to 16-15 in total and 6-9 in ACC Play.
Alex Birge completed a solo circuit during the first round, then Clemson took the lead in the fourth round when Tristan Bissetta crushed a two-round circuit, his third of the year, on a 3-0 throw. In the fifth round, Gaffney founded a simple two withdrawals to mark a race.
The Golden Bears equaled the 3-3 score in sixth round with two points with two outings, including the second on the Max Handron marking single. Clemson took over in the seventh round on the fly of the Gaffney sacrifice.
Drew Titsworth (2-0) won the relief victory, while Lucas Mahlstedt launched the ninth round to record his 11th stop of the year. Cole Tremain (4-2) suffered the loss.
