The odds for Mystik Dan were 20-1.
It was the 150th Kentucky Derby.

Last year, Mage, going 15-1 with just one victory in his career, won the first leg of the Triple Crown.
The long shot covered 1 ¹/₄ miles in 2:01.57.
Mage won $1,860,000, the biggest win of his brief career, but the prize pool increased significantly this year.
The overall prize pool increased from $3 million to $5 million and this year’s winner alone took home $3.1 million.
Last year’s derby was marred by seven horse deaths before the race.
