Mystery: 18-year-old ‘drunk’ pick-up driver arrested after cops find him and his vehicle covered in dried blood – as police launch urgent search to find out who it belongs

An 18-year-old man was found covered in dried blood after crashing his van, which was also stained, “while drunk” – and now police are trying to determine whose it was.

Police in Tarrant County, Texas, which encompasses the area around Fort Worth, were perplexed by the disturbing nature of the crash in the early hours of Monday morning.

Tarrant County deputies responded to a major crash on FM 2871 near I-20 when they found the teen who was quickly arrested.

Deputies with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office explained how the driver, Aaron Richard, was found with a large amount of dried blood on him, but do not believe it was due to the crash.

Investigators also found traces of blood along the driver’s side of Richard’s white 1997 Chevrolet single cab pickup truck, including on the outside of the truck bed.

When asked where the blood came from and how he got covered in it, the TSCO said Richard refused to explain.

He was arrested and charged with drunk driving.

Besides the exterior of the truck, investigators also found dried blood inside the truck.

Authorities are now asking anyone who may have seen Richard or the truck to contact the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle was reportedly involved in a “major accident” in the early hours of Monday.

The sheriff’s office did not say whether investigators believed anyone was in danger or had been killed.

Richard was serving a six-month probation sentence for disorderly conduct in Haltom City.

He posted $500 bond on a charge of driving while intoxicated, according to the Tarrant County Jail.

A drunk driving charge could potentially impact his probation.
