Bangkok-Military MYANMAR on Wednesday declared the temporary ceasefire of the country’s civil war on Wednesday to facilitate rescue efforts following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake which killed more than 3,000 people.
The surprise announcement by the military leaders who also run the unadumped government came on Wednesday evening on MRTV state television, which said that the fighting will take place until April 22 to show compassion for the people affected by the earthquake on Friday.
The announcement follows the unilateral temporary ceasefire ceases announced by armed resistance groups opposed to the military regime, and the military warned that these groups should refrain from attacking the state and regrouping, or necessary “necessary” measures.
The resistance forces also reserved the right to fight in self -defense.
Earlier Wednesday, rescuers withdrew two men alive from the ruins of a hotel in the capital of Myanmar, a third of a guest house in another city, and another in the second city in the country, Mandalay, five days after the earthquake. But most of the teams only found bodies.
The earthquake struck at noon on Friday, overthrowing thousands of buildings, collapsing from bridges and buckling roads. The number of deaths increased to 3,003 Wednesday, with more than 4,500 people injured, MRTV reported. Local reports suggest much higher figures.
The earthquake has aggravated an already disastrous humanitarian crisis due to the Civil War of Myanmar. According to the United Nations, more than 3 million people had been moved from their home and nearly 20 million needed it before it affects, according to the United Nations.
In the capital, Naycyitaw, a team of Turkish and local rescuers used an endoscopic camera to locate Naing Lin Tun on a lower floor of the damaged hotel where he worked. They pulled it carefully through a Jalchy hole through a floor and loaded it in a Gurney nearly 108 hours after being trapped for the first time.
Shirtless and covered with dust, it seemed weak but aware in a video published by the local fire service, because it was equipped with a drop IV and removed. The MRTV managed by the state later reported in the day that another man had been saved from the same building, more than 121 hours after the earthquake. Both were 26 years old.

Another man, a 47 -year -old primary school director, was rescued by a team of Malaysian crews and local crews from a collapsed guest house in the canton of Sagain, near the epicenter of the earthquake near the second city of Myanmar, Mandalay, where a fourth rescue was reported on Wednesday evening.
The earthquake has also shaken neighboring Thailand, causing the collapse of a high -rise building under construction in Bangkok. A body was removed from the rubble early Wednesday, increasing the total death in Bangkok to 22 with 35 injured, mainly on the construction site.
The Myanmar army seized the power in 2021 of the democratically elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi, provoking what turned into significant armed resistance.
Disputes were announced earlier this week by the popular defense force, which is the armed wing of the national government of the national unity of the ospose Shadow, and the Three Brotherhood Alliance, a trio of army of ethnic minority guerrillas.

This had put pressure on the military government to follow in the plunge, said Morgan Michaels, analyst based in Singapore at the International Institute of Strategic Studies.
It is too early to say if a break in the fighting could lead to something more sustainable, he said. “This would require very skilful and active diplomacy to transform a humanitarian break into something more sustainable. And it is not guaranteed,” said Morgans.
The military government was particularly vulnerable to bad publicity this week because his leader, General Min Aung Hlaing, was expected for a large -scale visit to a regional conference in the Thai capital on Thursday.
It will be his first to a country other than the main supporters and donors of his government – China, Russia and Russia Bidaruss – since he attended another regional meeting in Indonesia in 2021.
Min Aung Hlaing and other senior leaders are avoided and sanctioned by many Western countries for their redemption and human rights violations in 2021 while they try to crush resistance to their reign.
Before the announcement of the ceasefire on Wednesday, an opposition militia belonging to the Brotherhood Alliance reported that the soldiers had shot a rescue convoy of nine vehicles of the Chinese Red Cross Tuesday evening in the northern part of the state of Shan.
The National Army of Liberation of Ta’ang said that the Chinese Red Cross brought supplies to Mandalay and had reported its route to the army.
But Major-General Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the military government, said the convoy had not informed the authorities of his journey in advance, MRTV reported. Although he does not mention the Red Cross, he said that the security forces had fired in the air to dissuade a convoy which refused to stop.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun did not comment on the attack. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said it was examining the issue.
Countries have promised millions of aid to help Myanmar and humanitarian aid organizations with the upcoming monumental task, while sending specialized research and rescue teams.
India and China, the two neighbors of Myanmar who contribute for influence there, were particularly fast and generous with help. Several other countries have sent teams, including Turkey, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia.

The US government has promised $ 2 million in emergency aid and sent a team of three to assess the best way to respond given drastic cuts with US foreign aid.
The United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said that the pursuit of replicas complicated humanitarian response efforts. In Mandalay City, many people are completely cut off from electricity and running water.
“People affected continue to need health care and urgent medical supplies, drinking water, food and other critical articles,” said Dujarric. “Tents and a temporary shelter are necessary, as well as latrines and other hygiene elements, to prevent epidemics of diseases.”
Until now, most of the details have come from Mandalay, which was near the epicenter of the earthquake, and Naycyitaw, about 270 kilometers (165 miles) north of Mandalay.
Many areas are without electricity, telephone or telephone connections and difficult to reach by road, but other reports are starting to flow.
In the canton of singu, about 65 kilometers (40 miles) north of Mandalay, 27 gold minors were killed in a cave, the independent democratic voice of Burma reported.
In the region of Inle Lake, a popular tourism destination in the northeast of the capital, many people died when houses built on wooden stilts in water have collapsed in the earthquake, the new world of myanmar reported.
