X, owned by the Donald Trump’s technology magnate and confidant, Elon Musk, cooperated with requests from the Turkish government to block opposition accounts in the midst of generalized demonstrations after the arrest of Impamoğlu in March.
The criticisms criticized the platform to have a “double standard”, slamming how Musk proclaims to be an absolutist of freedom of expression, but also in accordance with the orders of the gag of the government of Ankara. X said in his article that he may be completely closed in Türkiye if he does not respect orders.
