MSNBC guest accuses TikTok’s Musk and Libs of promoting ‘stochastic terrorism’ on Twitter

An MSNBC guest accused Elon Musk of promoting “stochastic terrorists” like TikTok’s Libs to cultivate a “far-right following” on Twitter on Monday.

During a segment on “Deadline: White House” focusing on the emergence of extremist groups in the United States, host Nicole Wallace asked self-proclaimed fascism fighter Kristofer Goldsmith to discuss how the purchase of Twitter by Musk contributed to the problem.

“Elon Musk is very deliberately cultivating a far-right audience, and very specifically an anti-trans audience,” replied Goldsmith, who is CEO of Veterans Fighting Fascism.

Goldsmith claimed that Twitter accounts like Libs of TikTok and Gays Against Groomers created “trans panic” online by using “slurs to try to dehumanize trans Americans and trans people overseas and say they are predatory towards children. He also accused them of causing alleged threats to “drag events”.

Both accounts repost each other’s social media content to expose members of the LGBTQ+ community and others who espouse radical views about children.

“What they’re doing is they’re taking this as the QAnon myth, their Pizzagate pedophile conspiracy theory…and they’re putting it in. Throughout what’s become one of the biggest, that this like it or not, major social media platforms in existence,” Goldsmith said.

According to his website, Goldsmith, who has made frequent appearances on MSNBC, describes himself as an “investigator and consultant who takes an unconventional approach to combating national fascist organizations and outlaw militias.”

Goldsmith told Wallace he thought Musk was intentionally destroying Twitter and turning it “into a raging cesspool because Elon thought he had something to gain from the chaos.”

“That’s why he not only promotes stochastic terrorism on his own, but he interacts with stochastic terrorists like Libs of TikTok and Gays Against Groomers and all these other far-right activists who distinguish the trans community and the LGBTQ community + at large with acts of violence and threats of violence,” he alleged.

Libs of TikTok, which has more than 1.4 million Twitter followers, was suspended six times before Musk’s takeover for allegedly violating the platform’s “hateful conduct” policy. The second part of the “Twitter Files”, revealed last week that Twitter had internally acknowledged that the account “did not directly engage in behavior contrary to the Hateful Conduct Policy”, but proceeded with the suspensions anyway.

The account publicly thanked Musk for giving it a sense of “righteousness” by posting Twitter’s internal communications.

“They suspended me multiple times knowing I never violated any policies. That’s what happens when you talk about things they don’t want you to talk about,” she wrote on Twitter. . “So glad those days on Twitter are over. Thank you @elonmusk.”

Musk responded to his post, promising to make Twitter “much better” under his leadership.
