Although Destin is not huge, it increases – and our county has a population of around 200,000 people.
My hometown of Sioux Falls, southern Dakota, is similar in terms of population, and my husband grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis – one of the largest metropolitan areas in Midwest.
Even if I appreciated my little town education, I missed the luxury of living in a larger city. Growing up, we had to drive four hours in Minneapolis if we wanted to make real purchases at the Mall of America or attend a larger concert in the city center.
After moving to Destiny, I was surprised by the abundance of equipment from large cities just at my door. At 20 minutes by car, we have access to several shopping centers with everything, from well -known retailers to adorable local shops.
Our favorite shopping centers include the outdoor commons fate, the Silver Sands Outlet shopping center and the Grand Boulevard high -end. These lively spots often welcome the markets of weekly producers, annual festivals and holiday events throughout the year.
Destiny Area is also filled with lively restaurants, cafes and beach bars. My husband and I love enjoying the sunset with a happy hour hand -to -hand cocktail.
