Milpitas – A 48 -year -old motorcyclist was killed in a collision on Friday afternoon in Milpitas, authorities announced.
Police were called in Kennedy Drive’s 1500 block around 2:40 p.m. for an accident reporting a motorcycle and a vehicle, said Milpitas police captain Tyler Jamison in a press release. A parked vehicle was also affected following the collision.
Jamison said the motorcyclist had been taken to a hospital in the region, where he died of his injuries. The office of the medical examiner-contractor of the County of Santa Clara will release his identity after his confirmation and his closest parent is informed.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped on the scene and cooperated with the investigation, said Jamison. Neither alcohol nor drugs seemed to play a role in the collision.
