A motorcyclist injured in a crash in Danvers died from his injuries over the weekend.
On Friday, shortly before 7 p.m., the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Maple Street when the driver of a Honda Accord turned left onto the road from Poplar Street and struck him, according to a preliminary investigation by authorities, a police officer said. state police spokesperson. First responders transported the motorcycle driver to Beverly Hospital with “serious injuries” Friday, but he was later pronounced dead, according to state police.
Family and friends identified the motorcyclist as Daniel Robichau in a GoFundMe.
“His entire family is shocked and devastated by the tragic loss of such a young and beloved person,” reads the GoFundMe page, created to raise money for Robichau’s memorial service.
Boston.com contacted Danvers police to confirm the identity of the motorcyclist and ask if the driver of the Honda will face charges.
The crash remains under investigation by Danvers police with assistance from state police.
