Mother who survived the Maoist revolution: “The GM uses communist tactics”

Woman from Virginia says National School Board Association (NSBA) and Department of Justice (DOJ) are implementing strategies similar to those she experienced as a student during the Chinese Cultural Revolution before immigrating in the USA.

“When I was in China, I spent all of my school years in the Chinese Cultural Revolution, so I know very, very well about Communist tactics to divide people, how they nullified traditional Chinese culture and destroyed our legacy, ”Xi Van Fleet told Fox News. “This is all happening here in America. “

“Now they are labeling parents and concerned citizens like me as national terrorists,” Van Fleet told Fox. ” What can it do ? You risk losing your freedom.

His comments follow Attorney General Merrick Garland’s October 4 memo, which announced that the DOJ would use federal resources to investigate “a disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers and staff.”

“The ministry takes these incidents seriously and is committed to using its authority and resources to deter these threats, identify them when they occur and prosecute them where appropriate,” Garland said.

The note came shortly after the NSBA sent a letter to President Joe Biden requesting help from federal law enforcement regarding frustrated parents whom the NSBA likened to “national terrorists.”

Van Fleet told Fox News she believed the tactic was meant to intimidate parents.

I think it’s bullying, there’s no question about it. They called them racists for a long time, but it didn’t work, ”Van Fleet said. “So they have to move on to national terrorists.”

“I have a question: what is [the] The next step? “Van Fleet asked.” Is the Tiananmen Square crackdown next, or parents who one day risked their lives just to speak out for the children? That’s why I’m here.”

“In China, public schools are really public schools,” she added. “And here the same is happening here.”

“The radical left has already taken control of our education system,” Van Fleet said. “They control schools, school boards and other associations, such as the Teacher’s Association and the National School Board Association. And they’ve actually trained our kids to be social justice warriors for a long time. “

Van Fleet’s son graduated from high school in 2015 according to Fox News.

“These are your children,” she said. “For me, I am fighting because it is about our future. The future of this country. So we cannot be intimidated. “

Thomas Jefferson High School Parent Teacher Association president Harry Jackson told Fox News parents have become intimidated by the DOJ’s decision.

“I can understand that parents don’t want to speak in front of school board members about their concerns because now there is a fear,” Jackson told Fox. “They instilled fear in parents. They have created fear within the community in which you are supposed to serve and support.

Shortly after Attorney General Garland’s memo was released, Florida mother Quisha King called for a “mass exodus” from public schools.

“I really think at this point the only thing left is to have a mass exodus from the public school system – that’s it,” King told the Family Research Council’s Pray Vote Stand Summit in Virginia on October 7th.

“With that FBI thing, it just made me realize – what else are we supposed to do?” she asked. “Opposing these people doesn’t seem to matter. I mean, we’ve – all of us – we’ve been to these school board meetings, we’ve expressed our opinions, we’re writing articles, we’re emailing teachers – we’re doing it all. And they don’t care. I’m like the only thing left for me to do is calm down. “
