Moscow closes the Swedish Consulate General in St. Petersburg and expels five diplomats – RT in French
Russia withdrew its consent to the operation of the Swedish Consulate General in St. Petersburg from September 1 and declared five diplomats persona non grata.
In response to Stockholm’s “policy of confrontation”, Russia announced the closure of the Swedish Consulate General in St. Petersburg from September 1. The Russian Foreign Ministry added stopped the work of the Russian Consulate General in Gothenburg from the same day.
Additionally, Russia has declared five Swedish diplomats persona non grata.
