Twelve people were reportedly killed in a one -night strike in a house in the southern region of Khan Younis

Mortal Israeli air strikes have been reported in Gaza because the Israeli Minister of Defense said that his soldiers would expand his offensives and seize large areas of the Palestinian territory – incorporating them in what he described as “security zones”.

Israel Katz said that the extended operation was aimed at “destroying and eliminating the area of terrorist terrorists” and would require large -scale evacuation of Palestinians.

Later, at least 19 Palestinians, including nine children, were killed during a strike on a United Nations clinic to reflect displaced families in the city in the north of Jabalia, said the neighboring Indonesian hospital.

The Israeli army said it was targeting the “Hamas terrorists” who were hiding there.

Night strikes through Gaza have killed at least 20 more people, according to local hospitals.

The civil defense said that its first stakeholders had recovered the bodies of 12 people, including children and women, in a house in the southern region of Khan Younis.

Rida Al-Jabbour said that a three-month-old neighbor and baby were among the dead.

“From the moment the strike occurred, we could not sit or sleep or anything,” she told the news agency in Reuters.

The Israeli army said it was examining reports.

Civil Defense said the strike in Jabalia later on Wednesday hit two pieces on Wednesday in a clinic led by the United Nations Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) which was used as a refuge.

The Video verified by the BBC has shown dozens of people and ambulances rushing to the building. The smoke was seen sampling with a wing where two floors seemed to have collapsed.

The Israeli army said in a statement that it targeted Hamas agents who “hid inside a command and control center which was used to coordinate terrorist activity and served as a central meeting point”.

“Before the strike, many measures have been taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of air surveillance and additional information,” he added.

A spokesperson for UNRWA told the Associated Press that one of the agency’s buildings had been hitBut that she had no more details on the victims or the building used as.

It has also been reported on large Israeli air strikes and bombing along the Egyptian border during the night and there is a growing feeling that a new major Israeli soil is looming in Gaza.

The Israeli army radio said on Wednesday that Israeli tanks and land forces had started to progress in the central and eastern parts of the most southern city of Rafah.

This week, the Israeli army ordered around 140,000 people in Rafah to leave their homes and have issued new evacuation orders for some parts of northern Gaza.

Israel has already considerably widened a buffer area around the edge of Gaza during the war and took control of a lands corridor through its center.

Israel launched its Gaza offensive renewed on March 18, blaming Hamas for rejecting a new American proposal to extend the ceasefire and release the 59 hostages still in captivity in Gaza.

Hamas, in turn, accused Israel of having violated the initial agreement they had accepted in January.

The hostage and families who have disappeared in Israel, which represents many relatives of hostages, said they were “horrified to wake up” to the news of the extended military operation.

The group has urged the Israeli government to prioritize the security of all the hostages still organized in Gaza.

In his declaration announcing plans to seize more territory, Katz also urged Gazans to act to withdraw Hamas and free Israeli hostages, without suggesting how they should do.

The humanitarian situation across Gaza has worsened considerably in recent weeks, Israel refusing to authorize the aid to the Gaza Strip since March 2 – blocking the longest aid since the start of the war.

Last month, the UN announced that it reduced its operations to Gaza, one day after eight Palestinian doctors, the first six stakeholders in the Civil Defense and a member of the UN staff were killed by Israeli forces in southern Gaza.

The Israeli army launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, in which around 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken hostage.

According to the Hamas Ministry of Health, more than 50,399 people were killed in Gaza during the war that followed.
