Morgan Wallen sells “God’s country” shirts after the release of “SNL”

Billboard Women in Music 2025

Morgan Wallen is currently selling hats and t-shirts on his official website with the viral quote “put me in the land of God”. The quotation is now closely associated with the controversial release of Country Star star of “Saturday Night Live” during the episode of March 29, in which he was invited musical and winner of “Anora”, Mikey Madison, was the host.

Wallen left the “SNL” scene at the end of the show when the host and the musical guest generally remain to embrace the distribution of the show. Wallen interpreted two songs on the March 29 episode of “SNL” before his new album in May. The singer’s decision to get out of the scene aroused speculation about social media to find out if he had problems with “SNL” or not. He posted a photo on his Instagram story after the show of a private jet with a legend who said: “Bring me to the country of God.” The position only fired more rumors of Wallen would hate “SNL”.

Sources in the Wallen camp have said VArmed the day after the episode was filmed that Wallen had no tension with “SNL” and stressed that the singer had a good time and that no light was planned with his fast outing or his Instagram post. Variety reported earlier in the day that Wallen had been approached by “SNL” to appear in a pre-cut music sketch for the episode, but he refused to do so. Joe Jonas found himself in the sketch.

A few days after Wallen’s “SNL” walk, Kenan Thompson, a member of the distribution, told Entertainment Weekly that the singer had “felt steep” and left him knowing if Wallen “really felt a certain way” about the show.

“I thought he might have to go to the pot or something,” added Thompson. “It is definitely a peak in the norm. We are so used to that everyone turns around and has raised us, everyone says: “Good work, good work, good work”. So when there is a start of that, it’s like, hmm, I wonder what it is?

Thompson also questioned Wallen’s Instagram publication, asking: “The” country of God “of all this is strange because it is, what are you trying to say? Do you try to say that we are not in the country of God? Are we not all in the country of God? Are we not all under the umbrella of God? It is not necessarily my favorite. But anything. By evolving, we have not all had a new show. We had Jack Black this week.

Wallen’s new album, “I’m the problem”, is expected to be released on May 16, 2025.
