Morgan Wallen Defends Taylor Swift After Crowd Begins Booing Her

Taylor Swift is rarely alone in a crowded room.

That is why Morgan Wallen joked that although his April 4 and 5 concerts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis set attendance records, he knew his reign would be short-lived.

“They told me right before I went on stage that this was the busiest concert in the history of this building,” Morgan announced during his first show in Indianapolis, as seen in footage shared on the social networks. “And that we’re the first to do it two nights in a row, so thank you for letting me say that. Thank you for listening and loving this music.”

He then added of Taylor, who is scheduled to play the stadium three nights in a row in November for her Eras Tour, “I’m going to say this until Taylor Swift comes to town in the fall.”

And although the crowd initially started laughing and applauding his words, the boos soon began, which the 30-year-old quickly silenced.

“We don’t need to boo. We don’t need to boo,” he said, before adding: “I appreciate that. I know you all have my back.”
