The superstar of the country Morgan Wallen interpreted two songs from a next album which should be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year on “Saturday Night Live”, but it was not the music that sparked the most chatter after the end of the episode. It was his brutal breakup during the hugs of the usual group at the end of the show, followed by an article on social networks which suggested that he was in a hurry to leave New York, both creating speculation to know if Wallen sent signals that his “SNL” experience was not happy.
Sources in the Wallen camp say that there is nothing in conjecture that the singer reported the tension, arguing that he had had a good time and that no light was intended for his prominent release or in his Instagram post.
During the traditional “SNL” closure, Wallen was held long enough to greet the public, then to share a light hug with the host Mikey Madison. But, the stretch protocol, he then sank of the scene rather than staying for the casting, to go to the public and (and past) the camera. He first marked the “SNL” veteran observers could remember a guest who left the scene early, or certainly completely on this subject.
Later, Wallen’s only post on his social media after the show consisted of a photo of his private jet on the Tarmac in New York with legend: “Bring me to the country of God.”
Even before the IG post, and more after that, the flood of reactions on social networks seemed to be divided three ways: (a) all of this was inadvertently, and Wallen clearly did not think how its release would be read; (b) It was a deliberate discount, and he was rude with the show; Or (c) it was deliberate and good for him to stick it to a liberal cast which was probably rude to him first.
According to sources from his world, it was this first option – no light planned, and the buzz read the star who is just out of the way as usual.
When Wallen made a quick dart towards the camera to make his getaway, it was simply a “oops” moment of which everyone at hand has laughed, according to those who know the perception of his camp in the way it took place; This is how he entered and left the studio all week during the rehearsal and blocking of the cameras, so he did not think of being on the camera when he moved away from the scene.
As for his social post of the dissemination of NYC NYC “Get Me to God” not to express any pleasure on performance or referring directly to “SNL”, it was just a typical WALLEN, say those of his world, because he rarely publishes achievements or distinctions. (The star did not say anything about his social ones last fall about his triumphant victory for CMA prices for the artist of the year either, that he was not there to accept.)
Whatever it was intended or not, the buzz if he wanted to give “SNL” a brush continued on Sunday morning. Some have spoken of the apparent distance between the casting and Wallen before even leaving the stage, or published screenshots from Ego Nwodim and Kenan Thompson seeming to share a perplexed moment while Nwodim looked in the direction of the place where Wallen had made his way.
A sample of tweets:
“Wow, Morgan Wallen who came out of the scene during the credits @nbcsnl? In decades to watch SNL, I don’t think I have ever seen this. For many of us, it’s a sacred field.”
“All this hatred for Morgan Wallen because he left the scene before the fine credits as if he had not literally struck all week by all your insane liberals. He owes you nothing and you are all enemies of life that cannot abandon the past. Like growing up.
In addition to a screenshot of his IG article “God’s Country”: “Morgan Wallen with a little more of the loser normale shit, he so proudly showed in execution in the central aisle and just in front of the camera at the Curtain SNL Curtain … this star of the country.”
“Morgan Wallen shows the SNL cast exactly what he feels. I adore!”
“Something so pleasant to see Morganwallen Storm off the stage during the right nights. Don’t let the door hit you !!!!!!!!!”
“If you go back and look at the Mikey clips with Morgan and Chloé of the week (the Hi I’m Mikey Madison and I organize SNL this week with Morgan Wallen Clips), you will see that he did not want to shoot them either, and probably only SNL because his manager and his agent did.”
“It is not rocket science: Morgan Wallen has soaked because the entire distribution (exclusion from Queen Mikey) is a bunch of self-justice and moralizing shitlibs who think they are better than conservatives. I would not drag any longer than I would do.”
“I wonder what Morgan Wallen has the blackmail on Lorne Michaels to continue to be invited to perform, but to roughly abandon the cast and accommodation during the call to curtains at the end of the show.”
“The snowflakes Big Mad & Misperable Lib cry about this fu epic, all in hunting for this video on X, in British Columbia, so few people even watch the boring and without humor waste that SNL has become.”
Although some musical guests have appeared in sketches on the recent episodes of “SNL”, Wallen made no appearance in the series outside the song “I’m the problem” and “just in case”. However, there was an appearance of a musician in a pre -paved sketch – Joe Jonas.
The story of Wallen with “SNL” already had some controversy. In October 2020, he was reserved for the show and then without reserving, after being seen on the video that flouts the pandemic protocols in the days preceding the show by kissing a woman during a party. Jack White replaced him at the last minute during his scheduled episode on October 10, 2020, and Wallen apologized for the breach which caused its cancellation. Bur Michaels said at the time that Wallen would be invited to return, and he did his debut on December 5 of the same year, also appearing in a sketch of this episode.
The performance of this weekend has marked his first return to “SNL” since a major disruption in his career in early 2021 when he was captured in video using the word N as an appearance of appearance for a friend. It was prohibited by most major broadcasting points and reward shows for a year or more after this tug, but Wallen has become and remains one of the most successful figures of recent contemporary music.
According to Billboard, “dangerous: The Double album” by Wallen is the best album of the 21st century, to date. His latest album, “One Thing At Time”, is also among the 10 best albums so far this century, at n ° 7. Its coming release, “I’m the problem”, released on May 16.
