Newcastle expects more than 200,000 fans to descend to the city on Saturday as they win their Carabao Cup victory with an open roof bus parade and a party on the city of the city.
The 2-1 victory against Liverpool at Wembley obtained the first domestic trophy of the club in 70 years and a mass celebration will take place on Saturday afternoon.
Eddie Howe and his team will leave St James’ Park at 4.30 p.m. aboard a black and white bus, with Ant and Dec accompanying them.
They will go through the city center before arriving at the Moor of the city, where an outdoor event including Alan Shearer, the Ferdinand, live singers and a replay of the final take place.
The Toon heroes will be on stage around 6.30 p.m. when they show the trophy, and the party will end with a show of the Sela shirt sponsor.
“It will be one of the biggest events we have seen in the city,” said Karen Kilgour, chief of the Newcastle municipal council.
“There will be a number of road closings and we ask people to plan in advance.”
