More than 1,000 Starbucks strike employees as the dress code comes into force

May 15 (UPI) – More than 1,200 Starbucks employees have shot this week while the company applied a new dress code.

Starbucks Workers United Union said that the new clothing code, which entered into force on Monday, exacerbated sub-personal problems in stores leading to around 100 stores to express their opposition to politics.

The delegate of Starbucks Barista and the Negotiations of the Union Jasmine Leli publicly declared that the company had not consulted the union on the dress code.

“The distraction is that Starbucks deploys all these new changes when all customers are concerned about the consumption of drinks and to make their happy path. They do not care about the color we have,” said Leli. “Starbucks did not negotiate with us about this change of dress code, and we just need it to return to the table so that we can ratify this contract.”

Starbucks Workers United added that debraying is also intended to highlight other problems with the company.

“We are not only going out on a shirt color. Starbucks is a massive company that refuses to focus on what is important. Customers and baristas want stores fully equipped with personnel, prices and lower waiting times, and workers to take care of,” said the union in a Facebook article.

“They refuse their stores properly, give workers guaranteed hours, pay us a decent salary or provide allowances to pay for this arbitrary dress code,” said a separate position of the union on Wednesday.

The dress code as detailed in a press release last month, the baristas can carry “all the shirts with cuff, collar or long -sleeved and long -sleeved sleeves and any shade of khaki, black or blue background.

“We are also putting a new range of business brand t-shirts available for partners, who will receive two free of charge,” said the company.

According to the press release, the reasoning behind this change is to “allow our emblematic green apron to shine and create a feeling of familiarity for our customers, whatever the store they visit across North America.”

“Workers should not need to spend (money) on foot to replace shirts, pants (and) perfectly good shoes when we already find it difficult to manage,” the union wrote in an article on social networks on Tuesday.

Starbucks said that less than 1% of employees are responsible for the action concerning dissatisfaction with the code.
