More Activision games coming to Game Pass soon

So far, only one game published by Activision Blizzard has been integrated into Xbox’s Game Pass subscription service, nearly a year after Microsoft finalized its deal to buy the massive Call of Duty publisher. But a new report claims that more Activision games will (slowly) start arriving on the service in the near future.

In January 2023, Xbox announced its plans to buy Activision Blizzard King for a total of $69 billion, the largest video game industry acquisition in history. almost a year of legal proceedings and hearings worldwide before Microsoft is able to officially consume the editor on October 13, 2023. Now that the deal is finalized, Xbox owns a ton of franchises and games, including Call of Duty, Warcraft, And Candy Crush. But so far, eight months after the deal was struck, only one Activision game…Diablo IV— has made its way to Game Pass. However, it looks like more are finally on the way.

According to a report by Windows Central July 3, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is set to arrive on Game Pass in August. N. Sane Trilogy is a remake of the first three originals Crash Bandicoot games and was released in 2017 to critical acclaim and big sales.

It is also rumored, but not confirmed by the media, that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy are also slated to arrive on Game Pass after Accidentmaybe later this summer.

When Call of Duty games coming to Game Pass?

While I’m not a fan of the video game industry cannibalizing itself, which often leads to less competition and more layoffs—at least it would be nice to have some free games. So it’s nice to see that finally, after almost a year, more Activision titles beyond Diablo IV will arrive on Game Pass.

The big question I have is: when will Xbox bring all the features? Duty call games on Game Pass? The majority of the franchise is already playable on Xbox Series X/S, provided you own the games, so it’s just a matter of Microsoft pushing the button and making these games free to subscribers. I suspect that as we get closer to the launch of Black Ops 6 On October 25, a match that is arriving on Game Pass on day one—we’re going to start seeing some CoD arrive on the service.

For now, though, it seems like Xbox is taking its time bringing Activision’s catalog back to Game Pass, which is a big change from how it handled Bethesda’s game library after acquiring the Xbox One. To fall publisher in 2021.
