Congressman Jim Mcgovern Cry the death of her 23 year old daughter Molly McGovern.
The member of the Congress of Massachusetts shared that Molly “died unexpectedly in Italy while visiting a good friend and his family”, according to a declaration on his page X in the name of himself, his wife Lisa McGovern and son Patrick McGovern.
While Molly’s death was unexpected, Jim also shared that his daughter had struggled against a rare form of cancer, although he did not confirm if it was the cause of his death.
“Even if she faced a diagnosis of rare cancer, she did it with relentless courage, optimism and tenacity-refusing to let her illness slow it down,” he wrote. “She had just finished a semester abroad in Australia.”
Jim, 65, continued to share more qualities of his beloved daughter.
“Molly radiated with pure joy. She lit each room with her radiant smile-full of laughter, an endless warmth and a lively spirit that could disarm you in an instant,” he said. “She was incredibly funny, fiercely loyal and wise beyond her years.”
The politician, who represents the 2nd district of the Massachusetts Congress since 2013, underlined the kindness of his daughter towards the others.
