Linked quiz bowl
A team from Rancho Milpitas Middle School qualified for nationals of the 2025 National College Championship tournament, which took place from May 9 to 11 in Chicago. Team members include Teju Karadi, Stavya Dangaria, Shreya Ram, Parth Baheti and Purab Patel.
The team qualified thanks to performances during tournaments organized by Texas Quiz Bowl Alliance between October 2024 and January 2025, where they finished second and third. They will be one of the 160 Quiz Bowl teams from all over the United States in competition in Chicago.

The Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) Center is organizing its 19th Personalized and Classic Car Salon of Bob MCTAGGART on Friday May 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Metropolitan Education District, 760 HILLSDALE AVE. in San Jose.
Each year, the event attracts hundreds of participants who come to admire a wide variety of personalized and classic vehicles. Participants can also vote for their favorites in nine categories, including the best car, the best car under construction, the best motorcycle, the bicycle, the best truck, the best participation in the club, the best engine, the ugliest car and the best work of paint.
The show supports the SKILLSUSA chapter in SVCTE, a career technical student organization that helps students develop practical skills and leadership experience in careers in car technology and related industries. Previous programs have collected more than $ 10,000 to support student competitions and educational resources.
