In a shocking incident that took place during the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday, travel fans of the second division Millwall club began to sing “Let Hy Her Die” after the Crystal Palace striker, Jean-Philippe Mateta, suffered a horrible injury.
The incident took place a few minutes after kicking off at the Selhurst Park. Millwall goalkeeper Liam Roberts loaded out of the penalty area in order to empty the ball and imbued Mateta on his head with his boot, leaving the French striker with a “nasty Gash” behind his ear.
The majority of those present at the Ground of Palace in London were silent while Mateta received long medical treatments in the field, including support for oxygen. He had to be extended to the ambulance which transported him to the hospital.
Millwall fans, however, were heard singing the offensive song that was criticized by the BBC commentator Jonathan Pearce. “Millwall fans are not attached to anyone with their song on Mateta. The club could be reviewed on this subject, “said Pearce.
The president of Crystal Palace, Steve Paris, during this time, described the challenge of Roberts as the “more reckless” which he has ever witnessed.
“This is the most daring challenge on a football field that I think I have never seen and I think he needs to look hard, this boy, because he endangers a professional colleague, perhaps his life, with a challenge like that,” BBC told the BBC.
Mateta had in charge of Millwall’s goal post after responding to an intelligent by Will Hughes. The 27 -year -old was fighting for the ball with Millwall central defender Jake Cooper when Roberts stopped the game with his boot.

Referee Michael Oliver, however, did not emitted a red card immediately and made the reservation until a VAR review of the challenge.
Mateta, on the other hand, assured his fans later on Saturday that he “was fine” in the hospital.
“Thank you for all your kind messages. I’m doing well. I hope to be back very soon. And stronger than ever. Bravo guys for excellent work today, “Mateta wrote in a” story “on Instagram.
However, it was not itinerant fans – they also targeted Ben Chilwell with a song “Chelsea Rent Boy”. Chilwell represents the Palace this season during a Chelsea loan move, the club of which it has been a part since 2020.
According to the British tabloid Daily mirrorMillwall is not likely to be punished by the football association for the deplorable songs of their fans in Selhurst Park because it does not burst the protocols.
The club, however, could be in trouble for singing to Chilwell for the use of the homophobic language.
Palace, on the other hand, took advantage of the digital advantage after the red card in Roberts, winning the meeting of the southern London derby with Millwall 3-1.
Japiet Tangganga’s own goal put the Eagles in mind while Daniel Munoz and Eddie Nketiah were also on the target.
Wes Harding helped Millwall half make the deficit with a goal deeply in the time to stop a short time before the whistle at halftime.
Nketiah’s 81st minute strike, however, restored a two -goals for palace and put the result of the game out of doubt.
