Mike Tyson sends message to people suggesting Jake Paul fight is ‘scripted’ with knockout wish

Mike Tyson is tired of being written off ahead of his fight with Jake Paul.

The heavyweight legend will end his 19-year retirement from professional boxing when he faces Paul at AT&T Stadium in Texas on July 20.

On Tuesday, Tyson gathered with his opponent, who will be 31 years his junior on fight night, for a press conference to promote the event co-headlined by Katie Taylor against Amanda Serrano II.

The next morning, “Iron Mike” took to X – formerly known as Twitter – with a message aimed at anyone who doubted the legitimacy of his upcoming fight with Paul.

“Press conference at the Apollo Theater with Jake Paul and co-principals Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano,” Tyson wrote alongside two photos from the media event.

“This fight is not scripted like some haters in the boxing community would have you believe.

“It’s a sanctioned fight and I’m knocking Jake out.”

Tyson hasn’t said exactly who suggested his first real fight since 2005 was fixed, but the same people appear to be targeting Paul on social media.

The 27-year-old claims his Instagram comments section is full of fans saying the only way to beat Tyson is to fix the fight.

“People doubt me,” Paul said at the press conference.

“I go to the Instagram comments, and I see them all saying that if Jake Paul wins this fight, it will be fixed because of how amazing he looks.

” Age does not matter. Age is just a number, he’s a killer, he’s a warrior.

“He’s been doing this his whole life, so it’s second nature to him. I’ve been doing this for four years and I’m doing it at a very high level.

“On July 20, I’m going to show the world that I can Mike Tyson, prove everyone wrong and show that I’m the one who will kill.
