Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald was satisfied with the performance of his team during Friday night’s victory against the Chiefs, at least on one side of the ball.
“Offensively, this is how you script it. Defensively, I thought we would have played a little better,” said Macdonald.
Macdonald was impressed by the way the offensive took place gently, both with the starters in the game and with the backups.
“At the moment, our offensive operation, I’m very satisfied. How we take the ball, our determination in the way we move and change, we have called our targets correctly,” said Macdonald. “Each back, today I thought I was running the Dur balloon.”
Macdonald called the quarter-Arrière leaving Sam Darnold “really sharp” and said that there was no reason to leave him in the match after his passage 4-in-4 during the opening.
“I’m almost sure he wanted to continue, but he showed what he could do. Really an excellent reader,” said Macdonald.
Macdonald said that the backup receiver Dareke Young is a player who has worked particularly hard this offseason and shows it on the pre-season field. Friday evening, Young caught the three passes which were launched to him, for 52 yards.
