Mike Huckabee explains why he’s grateful to be American

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee slammed the left for claiming America was “evil” on “Fox News Primetime” Wednesday.

This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for the democracy and common sense of ordinary Americans

MIKE HUCKABEE: I really don’t care what they think. I like this country. I am thankful to God for America. I could have been born anywhere on this planet, but by His dear grace, I was born in this land where I had freedom. Now I grew up poor, but I’m no longer poor. And I’m thankful that in this country I didn’t have to stop where I started. And that’s the biggest thing we can all be thankful for. We have the right to speak. We have the right to worship as we please. We can get down on our knees and thank God.

And by the way, we can get down on our knees and protest the flag if we want to. We seem like fools to do it in this country, but we are free to do it. We are free to be stupid, and a lot of people exercise their freedom to be stupid by saying that America is a mean and racist country. What if it’s so horrible. Sean, my simple question to them would be, why is there such a long line of people trying to get into this country? Are they ready to break in and enter illegally? There is no line of people who are desperately trying to get out of this.
