Microsoft ended software engineers who protested against the events of the company on Friday against the use of the Israeli army of the company’s IA products, according to documents consulted by CNBC.

Ibthal Aboussad, software engineer in the company’s artificial intelligence division which is based in Canada, was dismissed on Monday on “just a cause, intentional fault, disobedience or deliberate negligence of duty”, according to one of the documents.

Another Microsoft software engineer, Vaniya Agrawal, said that she would resign from the company on Friday, April 11. But instead of his date of resignation chosen, Microsoft ended his role on Monday, according to an internal message seen by CNBC. The company wrote that it “decided to resign immediately in force today”.

Microsoft did not immediately provide a comment.

Friday, during the official celebration of the 50th anniversary of the company, Aboussad interrupted the speech of the CEO of Microsoft AI, Mustafa Suleyman.

“Mustafa, ashamed to you,” said Aboussad, heading to the scene of the event in Redmond, Washington. “You say that you care about the use of AI for good, but Microsoft sells weapons in the Israeli army. Fifty thousand people are dead, and Microsoft feeds this genocide in our region.”

Aboussad also called Suleyman as “war profiteer”.

“You have blood on your hands,” she said before being quickly escorted. “Everything Microsoft has blood on his hands.”

Shortly after the interruption, Aboussad sent an email, which was consulted by CNBC, to Suleyman and other leaders of Microsoft, including CEO Satya Nadella, the finance chief Amy Hood, the chief of the farm Carolina Dybeck Happe and Brad Smith, president of the company.

“I spoke today because after having learned that my organ fueled the genocide of my people in Palestine, I have not seen any other moral choice,” wrote Aboussad in email. “This is especially true when i’ve witnessed How Microsoft has tried to whatl and suppress any of my coworkers who Tried to raise this Issue. For the past year and a half, our arab, Palestinian, and Muslim Community at Microsoft has been silenced, intimidated, intimidated, intimidated Harassed, and doxxed, with impunity from Microsoft.

Aboussad continued in the email: “I did not register to write code that violates human rights”, adding a link to a “non-azure for apartheid” petition.

Microsoft wrote in the internal message that Aboussad’s email to managers, which she sent on Friday to protest against Microsoft’s actions, served as “the admission that you were deliberately and voluntarily committed to your previous misconduct”.

Microsoft also wrote that Abousssad could have been confidentially concerned with your manager, or with global relations.

The document continued by saying that Microsoft “concluded that your fault had been designed to gain notoriety and cause maximum disturbance to this highly anticipated event”.

“The immediate cessation of your job is the only appropriate response,” wrote Microsoft.

On Friday, during a separate event of Microsoft with leaders, Agrawal interrupted a speech by Nadella with a similar demonstration and sent an email to the leaders thereafter.

“You may have seen me standing earlier during the day to call Satya during her speech on the 50th anniversary of Microsoft,” wrote Agrawal in the email, which was consulted by CNBC on Friday. “Over the past 1.5 years, I have learned more of Microsoft’s growing role in the military-industrial complex.”

Agrawal wrote that Microsoft is “accomplice” as “manufacturer of digital weapons that feeds surveillance, apartheid and genocide”, adding that “working for this company, we are all accomplices”.

“Even if we do not work directly in AI or Azure, our work is tacit support, and our corporate climb only feeds the system,” wrote Agrawal. It included a call for action to sign the same petition.

Microsoft spokesperson said on Friday that the company is committed to complying with the highest standards of business practices.

“We provide many ways to all voices to hear. Above all, we ask that this is done in a way that does not cause commercial disruption. If this happens, we ask participants to move,” said the spokesman.

In recent months, AI companies have resumed the military ban on their products and conclude agreements with the defense industry giants and the Ministry of Defense.

In November, the anthropogenic and defense entrepreneur Palantant announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services to provide American intelligence and defense agencies with the Claude d’Anthropic models. Palantir recently signed a new five -year value agreement of up to $ 100 million to extend US military access to its Maven AI war program.

OPENAI and Andundil announced a partnership allowing the Defense Technology Company to deploy advanced AI systems for “national security missions”. And last month, the AI scale forged an agreement with the Ministry of Defense for a flagship agent program of several million dollars.
