The actor apologizes after an “offensive and unacceptable” language towards the personality of the Internet on the British reality competition
Mickey Rourke received a warning – but not an expulsion – from the United Kingdom Celebrity Big Brother After making a series of “homophobic” comments targeting his roommate Jojo Siwa.
According to the BBC, the interactions between the actor and the openly gay internet personality were borrowed with the “offensive and unacceptable” language of Rourke, the producers ultimately intervening with a warning that “the additional language or behavior of this nature could be far from the Big Brother house”.
In an interaction, Rourke asked Siwa if she was interested in boys or girls, to whom Siwa replied: “Girls. My partner is non -binary. ” Rourke then told Siwa: “If I stay more than four days, you will no longer be gay”, to which she replied: “I can guarantee that I will always be gay and I will always be in a very happy relationship.”
On another occasion, Rourke declared on the way to the smoking section of the big brother that “I need a fag” – British slang for a cigarette – but then stressed Siwa and said: “I am not talking to you.” Rourke also openly developed the reality competition that he “was going to vote lesbians very quickly”.
After the producers’ warning, Rourke apologized. “I apologize. I have no dishonorable intentions. I’m just talking about Smack, you know. I didn’t take everything if seriously. I didn’t mean bad intentions and if I did it, sorry,” he told producers. The actor also apologized to Siwa, saying, “I used to have a short fuse. And I don’t want to say anything by that. I think it (sorry). If I don’t do it, I won’t tell you. ” Siwa replied: “I appreciate your apologies.”
