Michael Olise could replace Kylian Mbappe but Man United and Liverpool should see Crystal Palace star as the future

Michael Olise is good enough to replace Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

That’s the view of talkSPORT’s Gabby Agbonlahor who expects the Crystal Palace star to land a big move this summer.

The football world watched on Friday night as Mbappe confirmed his intention to leave the French giants this summer with a verbal agreement already in place to take him to Real Madrid.

Although the Spanish giants will be delighted to land one of the biggest stars in world football, it means PSG have a giant hole to fill.

Joining Crystal Palace from Reading in 2021, Olise has become one of the Premier League’s most talented stars after scoring 10 times and providing five assists in just 18 matches this season.

The 22-year-old is known to have a £60m release clause in his contract at Selhurst Park, with talkSPORT understanding Manchester City and Manchester United are keen.

When asked if Olise could play in the Champions League for Man City, Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “Olise? 100 per cent.

“If I had to choose one from Eze and Olise, I would choose Olise. They are both exceptional players.

“Olise is 22 now and wants to join the French team – with Mbappé leaving, I think he would be perfect for PSG. I rate him very highly.

“The goals he scores, he has that good arrogance where he takes the ball and says ‘I’m going to shoot from there, that’s what I do’.

Olise has been incredible this season

Olise has been incredible this season

“With a £60 million release clause, there will be so many clubs trying to get him.

“Spurs would love him. Arsenal would love him. Aston Villa would die for him, Man United, they are shouting at him.

Has Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise revealed he’s a true blue at picking Chelsea players in JD Sports’ ‘this or that’ game?

“Give them Antoine!” £60 million plus Antony, and voila!

“Liverpool would leave him with the departure of Mohamed Salah. Could Liverpool make him a winger who plays more through the middle like Salah does?

“He’s a great player and if I’m a Crystal Palace fan I think this will be one of those summers.”

Palace’s final game of the season comes against Aston Villa on Sunday May 19 – a game which could prove to be Olise’s final game for the Eagles.
