In January, Texas police confirmed they were investigating separate and vague allegations of “misconduct” against Irvin.

“There has been an allegation, but we are not prepared to release details at this time because our investigation is in its very early stages,” Jonathan Maness, Allen PD public information officer, told Pro Football Talk via email.

Attorney Levi McCathern told PFT by phone that Irvin “vehemently denies” everything he is accused of doing.

During last year’s Super Bowl, he was accused of unwanted sexual advances, leading to his suspension from the NFL Network and legal action between him and the Marriott hotel chain.

Marriott and Irvin reportedly settled their grievance, but only after the chain claimed in a court filing that the former NFL star asked a hotel employee “if she knew anything about having a “big black man inside her”.

Irvin was also accused of sexual assault in a 2007 incident at a Hollywood hotel. Four years later, a settlement was reportedly reached in the civil lawsuit.
