Michael Douglas defends Joe Biden with brutal reminder about Donald Trump

Oscar winner Michael Douglas pointed out a comparison between the president Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump as he defended the current commander-in-chief against attacks on his age.

Biden is 81, Douglas is 79, and Trump is 77.

CNN’s Fareed Zakaria noted in an interview with Douglas that aired Sunday that he and Biden were “around the same age.”

Zakaria then asked the “Franklin” star, “Are you one of those people who wished he (Biden) would step aside and let the field choose someone else?”

Biden is ‘also sharp’ and ‘good’ Douglas said everyone he has spoken to has told him the question has been said to him.

“We all have a memory problem as we get older, we forget names,” admitted the actor. “He overcame a stutter in his life and sometimes he succeeds.”

Then came the recall of Trump.

“But let’s just say his entire cabinet, including his vice president, everyone in his cabinet would be more than happy to work with him again in the next term,” Douglas concluded. “I can’t say the same about the other candidate running because no one in his 2016 cabinet wants to get involved with him.”

Douglas went on to call the 2024 election “probably the most important election of my lifetime.”
