Miami Real-Estate Mogul Taken for Psychiatric Evalution After Bizarre Gun Video: Reports

Real estate mogul Patrick Carroll was ordered by police to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and surrender his firearms following reports of shots fired at his home last week.

Police were called to his home after neighbors heard gunshots coming from his backyard.

Carroll had also posted a since-deleted clip of himself on Instagram, shared by The Real Deal, showing him standing on a boat wearing a red MAGA hat and shooting a shotgun.

Carroll later told The Real Deal that he was not shooting live ammunition and had spoken to police.

“They were laughing about it. I was doing it for a video,” he said.

Christopher Bass, a spokesperson for the Miami Beach Police Department, confirmed to Page Six that police took Carroll to a local health facility for a mental health examination and that a “risk protection order” was issued. been notified.

“This investigation continues,” he added.

A March 21 Page Six report said police arrested Carroll under Florida’s Baker Act, which allows for the “temporary detention” of people suffering from “mental illness.”

The mogul moved to Miami in 2022

Carroll moved to Miami Beach in February 2022, when he purchased a $16.3 million waterfront home on Lakeview Drive.

It also has a 90-foot infinity pool and its own dock, from which Carroll appeared to film her Instagram Story last week.

Carroll has cultivated a reputation for extravagant behavior in recent years.
