Jesse Winker, who provided a spark for the Mets after arriving from Washington before the trade deadline, remains in Queens.
The left-handed outfielder/DH agreed to a one-year deal for $7.5 million, with a chance to reach $9 million, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported.
Winker, 31, saw his production dip with the Mets in the second half, with a .683 OPS after a strong first half with the Nationals, but he excelled in the postseason, with a 1.168 OPS in 10 postseason games.

He will provide an additional outfield bat as the Mets decide what to do with Starling Marte, who has one year left on his contract and could be moved.
Winker has come a long way since his days as a player who drew the ire of Mets fans when he first made a name for himself at Citi Field in 2019, as he waved to the crowd after a key home run against Edwin Diaz and again after a sliding catch that sealed the victory for the Reds, leading to several choruses of boos.
He became a fan favorite during the playoffs, with emotional celebrations and big hits in October.
