Meredith Gaudreau gave birth to her and fire the third child of the husband Johnny Gaudreau – A boy named Carter Michael Gaudreau – On April 1, she announced on Monday on Instagram.
Meredith said that Carter’s second first name is the same as Johnny’s and that his birth weight was “exactly the same as his dad”.
“He also looks like his dad,” wrote Meredith.
Meredith announced that she was pregnant with her and Johnny’s third child while praising Johnny in September 2024. Meredith and Johnny had a son, Johnny Jr., and his daughter, Noa, at the time of Johnny’s death.
“We are actually a family of five,” said Meredith in September. “I am in my ninth week of pregnancy with our third baby. A total surprise. “

The brothers led bikes along the county of Route 551, a two -lane highway, when they were struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee who was trying to pass a SUV. The Jeep driver then tried to pass the SUV on the right and hit the Gaudreau brothers from behind.
The alleged driver, Sean M. Higgins, faces accusations, including reckless homicide, aggravated manslaughter and to leave the scene of a fatal accident.
Johnny was 31 years old and Matthew was 29 years old.
Matthew’s wife Madeleine gave birth to their first son, Tripp Matthew Gaudreau, in December after the pair announced the pregnancy on Instagram in June 2024.
Johnny spent 11 years in the NHL, the first nine with the Calgary flames before signing a seven-year contract with the Blue Jackets in the summer of 2022. Known among the fans under the name of “Johnny Hockey”, the underdimensive attacker became one of the best gaming wings in the League. He did six teams of stars in eight seasons with the flames.
Matthew also played professional hockey, more recently with the Wordster Railers of the ECHL in 2021-2022. The two brothers played hockey from division I at Boston College.
With their wives and children, the Gaudreau brothers are survived by their parents, Guy and Jane, and two sisters, Katie and Kristen.
