Meredith Gaudreau, Johnny Gaudreau’s widow, announced on Monday the birth of her third child on social networks.
Carter Michael Gaudreau was born on April 1, about seven months after the tragic death of his father. Johnny and his brother Matthew were killed on August 29 when they were hit by a car while he was bicycle at home in Salem County, New Jersey.
Johnny, who played 11 seasons in the NHL with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Calgary Flames, was 31 years old.
In September, during the commemorative service of the Gaudreau brothers, Meredith announced that she was pregnant with the couple’s third child.
The youngest Gaudreau shares a second name with his father, and Meredith announced that he was born the same size as his father was too.
