Mel Gibson warned Jim Caviezel when they first discussed “the passion of Christ” that if he took the role of Jesus, it could ruin his career, said the 56 -year -old actor this week.

After the shooting, Caviezel underwent two heart surgeries which, according to him, came from everything he experienced in the film.
The cross was faked with a bicycle seat on which he could sit during the shooting, and Caviezel said he was so exhausted that he would sleep during his stay.
“I couldn’t stay awake,” he said about exhausting shooting.
He even slept in his makeup which took about eight hours to put.
“It was a constant torment,” he said, adding that he thought it brought him closer to the suffering of Jesus.

Gibson has invested tens of millions of his own money in “The Passion of the Christ” in 2004, and the film was a huge success, totaling more than $ 600 million worldwide.
It is the most profitable religious film at the world box office, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
