Daryl Sabara is here to quell rumors of animosity between his wife, Meghan Trainor, and actress Ashley Tisdale. Daryl defended Meghan after Ashley’s essay for The Cut about a “toxic” mom group went viral.
In the essay, Ashley discussed leaving a friend group of fellow mothers last year, comparing the experience to going back to high school. Reportedly, the group included some pretty famous faces, including Mandy Moore, Hilary Duff and Meghan Trainor.

Ashley didn’t name anyone in her essay, but a now-viral post from Meghan was interpreted by viewers as a potential nuance. “I’m finding out about the apparent mom group drama,” Trainor captioned a TikTok video. The clip showed her sitting in front of her computer, typing frantically and staring at the screen in disbelief. The video included audio from his new single, “Still Don’t Care”. The song choice in particular raised eyebrows as a potential commentary on Ashley’s claims in the essay.
As for Meghan’s husband, the former Spy Kids star was more blunt when asked about a potential feud by TMZ. “No drama here, just trying to keep the kids happy, you know?” Sabara told the outlet. Meghan and Daryl have been married since 2018 and share a two-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter.
Ashley, who recently announced that she had changed her name to Ashley French as part of her business endeavors, has been married to singer Christopher French since 2014. They have two daughters, born in 2021 and 2024.
Regarding Ashley, Daryl told TMZ “I don’t really know what’s going on,” he said of Ashley’s alleged mom group drama. “I hope she’s okay, though.”
