Lest you think the drama over the allegedly “toxic” celebrity mom group is running out of steam, the ongoing feud driven by Ashley French’s (née Tisdale) blogs remains ongoing. After French published an essay in The cut As for why she stopped hanging out with her core group of celebrity mom friends, there has been endless speculation about why and how it all happened. French’s representatives attempted to deny via TMZ that all of her writing was about her group of famous mothers, but it’s implied that the actress fell out with a different mom’s group of friends and that the celebrities she hung out with and unrelated to her no longer hung out with her. Lightning can strike twice, I suppose, but maybe not so much like this.
The last major party to get involved was Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, who doctored his own version of a cover story that implied French was “self-obsessed,” but now the Meghan Trainor-Daryl Sabara house has entered the fray. Trainor, as she does everything in her life, turned it all into content, posting a video to her TikTok set to her song “Still Don’t Care.”
TMZ caught Trainor’s husband on Jan. 8 and when asked for comment, he made what is perhaps the most normal statement about the whole affair so far. “I’m just trying to keep the kids happy, you know?” he told reporters. “I don’t really know what’s going on, but I hope she’s OK,” he said of French. You know what? Good for him. More celebrity dramas should end with everyone involved saying they hope everyone else is okay, but then there wouldn’t be anything for celebrities to write cryptic revelations about. Oh good. Maybe Hilary Duff will finally step in next!
