Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were all smiles on Tuesday as they hosted a prestigious event to celebrate the Kinsey Collection of African American art and history in Los Angeles.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated the arts with many famous faces, including Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles and British actor David Oyelowo.
According to a press release on their official website, the Sussexes said the collection is known for having “one of the most extensive collections of African American art, artifacts and documents.”
The two men proudly detailed their involvement in the collection on their website, saying they “discussed the history and importance of black art and how our communities can work together to preserve this vital part of American history.”
Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, also joined guests for a private tour of the exhibition.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, The Kinsey Collection posted photos from the event held at Sofi Stadium in Hollywood Park.
Footage from the event shows the couple, who left royal life in 2020, kissing other guests and rubbing shoulders with several well-known stars.
The former “Suits” actress’ mother, Doria Ragland, was photographed smiling alongside Beyoncé’s mother as the two held each other’s arms.
It’s no surprise that Ragland and Knowles had a great time together at the event since they’ve been friends for a few years.
The Sussexes struck up a friendship with Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, following their Brit Awards acceptance speech in February 2019, in which they praised the royal family .
The quartet then reunited in July when the Carters were in London for the premiere of “The Lion King,” which stars the “Cowboy Carter” entertainer.
Most recently, the Sussexes were seen enjoying Beyoncé’s sold-out “Renaissance” world tour when she stopped at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in September 2023.
Markle’s mother joined the duo in a private dressing room as they danced the night away.
And Markle loved it so much that she and her mother returned for a second night without the Duke.
