Meghan Markle chooses to be the eternal optimist.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, released the first trailer for her Netflix lifestyle series “With Love, Meghan” earlier this month, in which she showed off her cooking and gardening skills with appearances from his famous friends.
But following the devastating fires that ravaged Los Angeles in recent days, Markle announced that the release of the series had been postponed to March 4 instead of January 15.
Still, the sudden change in plans hasn’t had an effect on Markle’s hopes for the project, as insiders say she thinks the Netflix project “is going to go well.”
“She’s so confident that everything is going to be okay and that she’s going to get the accolades she deserves for it, which will eventually shut some people up. She can’t wait,” a source told OK! Magazine.
The source added that the “Suits” alum’s previous experience as an actress played a role in her confidence in the venture.
“She has always been confident in her own abilities and although her confidence took a hit while she was in the royal family, she is back on track and she is very proud of this performance,” added the source.
As for the show itself, insiders say the mom of two “doesn’t really mention” her royal connections on camera.
“People tend to underestimate her, but Meghan knows what the public wants and she’s giving it to them with this show,” the source claimed.
“People always open up to her because she listens and cares. She knows the audience will warm to her if they give the show a chance.
The Post has contacted Markle’s representatives for comment.
Directed by Michael Steed, “With Love, Meghan” has eight episodes, each lasting 33 minutes. Markle and Harry, 40, produced the series through their company Archewell Productions.
Announcing the series’ delay due to the Los Angeles fires, Markle said in a statement last week: “I’m grateful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch as we focus on needs of people affected by forest fires in my country. Home state of California.
The series will follow the former royal in the kitchen with some of her famous friends, including Mindy Kaling and her “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer.
The former actress finished filming the series in July.
The Sussexes signed a $100 million deal with the streaming giant in 2020. It’s unclear whether their deal with the platform will be renewed when it expires this summer.
