Hot for Harry; crazy for Meghan.
More than six years after their marriage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still in love, according to a former colleague.
“They are so hot for each other,” a person who worked closely with them said in a Vanity Fair report published Friday. “Like, you know how you meet these couples you’re in, the way they look at each other, I probably shouldn’t be here right now?
That love also manifests itself in the way Harry, 40, interacts with Meghan, 43, when the two are in public watching the “circus” that engulfs them.
“He’s so protective of her because people are so mean to her,” the source added.
“It’s a whole different experience” compared to the “nice” and “comfortable” person Harry is in private, according to the source.
The prince has often spoken about his protective feelings towards Meghan, feelings which he says are driven by the similarities he sees between his wife and his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and the way they were treated by the press.
“My deepest fear is that history will repeat itself,” Harry said in a statement in 2019, referring to Diana’s 1997 death in a Paris tunnel amid a paparazzi chase.
“I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is trivialized to the point where they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife become a victim of the same powerful forces.
Evidently, Harry and Meghan, who began dating in the summer of 2016, quickly fell in love, exchanging their first “I love yous” just three months into their relationship, according to the book “Finding Freedom.”
“When did I know she was ‘The One?’ The very first time we met,” Harry said in the couple’s post-engagement interview with the BBC in November 2017.
The couple married in May 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle with great fanfare.
In a 2022 conversation about the businesses she and “H” (as Meghan likes to call Harry) choose to take on, the former actress explained that they run with love.
“A big part of how my husband and I see things is through our love story,” Meghan told Variety.
“I think that’s what people around the world connected to, especially with our wedding. People love love. I am not excluded from this feeling.
