Meghan Markle and Prince Harry smile in Nigeria after secretly meeting at London’s Heathrow Airport

Their royal tour is off to a flying start!

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry secretly met at London’s Heathrow Airport before boarding a flight together to Nigeria on Thursday.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, was criticized this week for her “strange” decision to skip her husband’s trip to the UK this week as he traveled home to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Harry, 39, landed in the capital on Tuesday – but his stay was brief as he was already on his way to the airport two days later.

The “Suits” alum touched down at Heathrow on Thursday evening after flying solo from Los Angeles.

She met her husband in the airport’s VIP Windsor suite before the couple boarded a commercial British Airways flight to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, the Daily Mail reports.

The duo, who left royal life in 2020, were invited to Nigeria by the West African country’s chief of defense staff, its most senior military officer.

The couple’s flight experienced a slight delay due to the pilot’s illness, according to the media. The duo were seated in first class of the Boeing 777.

The Sussexes landed in Nigeria on Friday morning and were reportedly the first to be escorted off the plane.

The couple, who each received a traditional wooden bead necklace, visited children at Lights Academy in Abuja, where they were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The former actress was dressed in a peach-colored maxi dress and accessorized with gold jewelry.

Harry, for his part, wore a lightly faded linen shirt and khaki pants of a similar color. He completed his casual look with a pair of tan shoes.

In the afternoon, Harry will meet wounded soldiers at a military hospital.

The exiled royal launched the Invictus Games in 2014 as a Paralympic-style multi-sport games for wounded and injured service members and veterans.

On Saturday, the duo will attend a training session for the “Nigeria: Unconquered” organization as well as a reception hosted by the Chief of Defense Staff in honor of military families.
