Meet the family of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez

  • Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his longtime girlfriend Lauren Sanchez are now reportedly engaged.
  • Bezos has four children with profiles so low that some of their names are not known to the public.
  • Sanchez has three children herself – two with her ex-husband and her eldest with another ex.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez reportedly got engaged this month after years of dating, a union that would bring their respective families even closer.

Sanchez has said in interviews that she and Bezos were “together all the time,” according to a Wall Street Journal profile in January. A former news anchor turned helicopter pilot, Sanchez said she shares many common interests with Bezos, who in addition to founding Amazon also founded aerospace company Blue Origin. “We fly together. We train together,” she told the WSJ.

Both have children from previous relationships. Bezos and his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott have four children, although their identities have been mostly kept secret, Gawker previously reported. Meanwhile, Sanchez has three children of her own.

At the time of their 2019 divorce, Bezos and Scott both said they planned to co-parent their children. Bezos wrote on Twitter that he and Scott have “had such a great life together as a married couple, and we also see a wonderful future ahead of us, as parents, friends, partners in businesses and projects, and as individuals pursuing businesses and adventures”.

Once the divorce has been pronounced, Scott tweeted“Grateful to have completed the process of dissolving my marriage to Jeff with mutual support and all who have kindly reached out to us, and I look forward to taking the next step as co-parents and friends. “

Representatives for Jeff Bezos and the Bezos Earth Fund, the philanthropic effort of which Sanchez serves as vice president, did not respond to Insider’s email requests for comment.
