The fast food chain also teases the return of one of its most requested menu items.
Washington – For the first time in four years, McDonald’s adds a new permanent element to its menu.
From May 5, the country’s participating locations will serve McCrispy strips and a brand new dip in creamy Chile, the fast food chain announced on Thursday.
The new McCrispy strips have “100% white meat, covered with crisp breading in golden brown and burst with a daring flavor and black pepper.” Customers can order the three or four -room portions bands, accompanied respectively with one or two cups of creamy chili sauce. The dip in creamy chili is described as a salty, sweet and tangy sauce designed to complete the bands.
“Since I went into my new role as a leader of the American company this year, I have been delighted that fans can experience our additional chicken offers,” said Alyssa Buetikofer, responsible for marketing and customer experience at McDonald’s.
“The request for chicken strips was remarkable to see in the industry, so we knew that we had to deliver something so essential that it was worth it. We took our time, listened to our fans and created a product that we knew they would like. And the best part is that we are just starting.”
The McCrispy strips and the dip in creamy Chile will be available via the McDonald’s application, the restaurant, McDelivery and lead to participating locations before May 5.

As part of Thursday’s announcement, McDonald’s also continued to tease the return of an element of the favorite abandoned menu, The Snack Wrap.
“And it’s an envelope … at least for the moment,” finished the press release Thursday.
The McDonald’s Snack Wrap made its debut in 2006 and directed other channels, including Wendy’s and KFC to start selling chicken envelopes similar to similar snacks. The McDonald’s option has been completely deleted from American sites in 2020. Since then, there have been online petitions and various rumors of social media on the possible return of the menu item.
When will the snack envelope come back?
Last year, the President of the United States of McDonald’s, Joe Erlinger, revealed during an interview on Good Morning America that the Wrap Snack would be back in 2025. “This has a cult, I receive so many emails in my reception box on this product.”
Last week, the McDonald’s account on X, formerly known as Twitter, hinted with another clue on the timing: “Snack Wraps 0x.14.2025”
The position seems to link the snack envelopes with the 14th of the month in May, June, July, August or September of this year. Could one of these days be when the return is officially announced or could it be a launch date? Only time will tell us.
McDonald’s main marketing director, Guillaume Huin, explained previously that X had a “gigantic impact” on the return of snack envelopes and that it was by far their most requested elements of all time.
“People have won, and there is no better gift for a business than the one who makes people happy. Tears of joy, my friend,” posted Huin. ‘
The chain snack wraps have remained available in other countries, including Canada and the United Kingdom.
