Mayorkas says the border is secure one day, then says the hemisphere has a ‘crisis’ another
While airing Fox Business Network’s “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” Friday, Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL) reacted to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas saying Thursday there was a “migration crisis” in “the whole hemisphere” by pointing out that Mayorkas maintained that the border is secure before the House on Tuesday.
Waltz said: “[H]here is the thing, a few days ago, in front of the House [Homeland Security] Committee, Mayorkas continued the fiction that the border is completely secure, then he changed his story by crossing the Capitol to the Senate. I don’t know, maybe Facebook will call this misinformation. But, here’s the thing, we have a problem here where the DHS secretary won’t even admit what the problem is, let alone get to the point where we can start talking about solutions and root causes on top of Kamala Harris throwing billion on the problem.
Waltz added that there are migration and refugee issues throughout the hemisphere and he’s seen it in Haiti and with the shooting of U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials off Puerto Rico. , but the Biden administration is doing nothing about it.
