The Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby wants Aron Rodgers to be the new quarter of his team in 2025.
Rodgers, 41, will be cut by New York Jets and is looking for a new team. The Rams of Los Angeles were a real option, but this door is now closed after it is emerged that Matthew Stafford remains in Los Angeles.
But the defensive star Crosby, speaking on his precipitation with the Maxx podcast, maintains Rodgers to have a massive year in 2025 with anyone who signs it – and he wants it to be his team.
“The first year on an Achilles is one of the most difficult things to do,” said Crosby, reflecting on the return of Rodgers of his injury during the 2023 campaign. “You see him with Kirk (Cousins des Falcons d’Atlanta), Kirk had a year of decline.
“It happened with Aaron, he fought early but improved over the season. I think that with all the doubt and all the negativity around Aaron – people saying that he needs to retire and things like that, to be cut by the jets – I think he will come back (and have a great year).
“I know he is 42 or 41 but I think he’s going to have a great year this year. And I hope it is in (point for itself) in town.
The raiders are going through an offseason of upheavals, led by Tom Brady after having become a minority owner of the team last year.
After Pete Carroll entered as a chief coach, the next big decision concerns the team appeal.
