Max Verstappen refuted rumors that he will leave Red Bull at the end of the Formula 1,2025 season due to the poor performance of the car. Red Bull had trouble matching the power of McLaren and Verstappen, third, is eight points behind the leader Lando Norris in the driver’s classification.
While rumors indicating the release of Red Bull Verstapn has existed for some time, they gathered more strength after the quadruple world champion arrived sixth at the last Bahrain Grand Prix.
The poor performance of Red Bull was exaggerated by the words of the team advisor Helmut Marko, who expressed a “great concern” about the future of Verstapn with the team.
Verstappen sends a positive message to the Red Bull team
Speaking of his potential future, Verstappen played rumors, but reiterated that he was not satisfied with the car.
“Honestly, many people talk about it except me,” said Verstappen before the Saudi Grand Prix this weekend. “I just want to focus on my car and work with the people of my team. That’s all I think in F1 for the moment.
“I am happy (at Red Bull), I’m just not very happy with our car. But it goes for everyone, we all want to be better, there is no secret on this subject. This is what we are trying to improve.”
Verstappen also refuted the claims according to which his manager, Raymond Vermeulen, had a confrontation with Marko on the Sakhir circuit.
“To my knowledge, they had a conversation on everything, which is authorized,” he said. “We were all frustrated by things that went wrong in the race. This is what my manager, Raymond and Helmut spoke and Christian also arrived, so they had a conversation. We all care about the team. We care about the team, people and results. ”
All this must have been music with the ears of the boss of Red Bull Christian Horner.
Verstappen has a contract until 2028 with Red Bull, but it was strongly linked to Mercedes and Aston Martin.
