After a five-round battle, Poirier came out victorious to win a taste of gold and the UFC match with the renowned temple of the UFC Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Now they meet for a third and probably the last time for the BMF title. Holloway won the belt with one of the most emblematic finishes in the history of the promotion at the UFC 300. Although it is a few moments to obtain the victory on at least two of the dashboards of the judges, Holloway launched caution in the wind in the last 10 seconds and won a right hand which knocked Justin Gaethje just before the last horn.
