Matthew Perry had $1.5 million in his personal bank account before his death

Matthew Perry’s personal wealth at the time of his death has been revealed.

The “Friends” star had $1,596,914.47 in his personal bank account when he died at age 54 in October 2023, People reports.

This is according to an inventory and appraisal document filed by Lisa Ferguson, one of the trustees of Perry’s estate.

The late actor, whose net worth was estimated at $120 million at the time of his death, placed the remainder of his assets in a $1 million trust he set up in 2009.

He named the estate the Alvy Singer Living Trust, after Woody Allen’s Annie Hall character. Ferguson and Robin Ruzan were named co-executors of the estate, Page Six reported in March.

In the trust, Perry listed his father, John Perry, and mother, Suzanne Morrison, as beneficiaries of his will alongside his half-sister, Caitlin Morrison, and his ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn.

Perry never married and never had children.

The “17 Again” actor was found dead in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home on October 28.

Perry, who was playing pickleball earlier in the day at Riviera Country Club, wasn’t in his hot tub for long before he was found dead, according to TMZ.

Initial reports indicated he drowned, but a toxicology report confirmed he died from the acute effects of ketamine. Drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine were cited as contributing factors.

His cause of death was ruled accidental.

However, authorities launched an investigation into Perry’s death earlier this year. A recent report claims that police believe “multiple people” should be charged in connection with his death.

Perry has spoken openly about his addiction issues.

In his 2022 memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” Perry revealed that he attended 6,000 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, went to rehab 15 times, and was in and out of rehab 65 times.

He also claimed to have spent nearly $9 million to get sober over the years.

“The doctors told my family I had a 2 percent chance of surviving,” Perry said in a promotional interview for his book, after claiming he nearly died in 2018 from a gastrointestinal perforation. “They put me on a machine called ECMO, which takes care of all the breathing for your heart and lungs. And it’s called a ‘Hail Mary.’ Nobody survives that.”

He finally got sober in May 2021.

Perry was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills in November.

His five former “Friends” co-stars — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc — were all present at the funeral.

Also present were his parents, sisters, stepfather Keith Morrison and other friends and family.
