Matthew McConaughey Camila Alves attends gala with kids

It was a big night for Matthew McConaughey yesterday, as his nonprofit Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M) hosted its 12th annual gala in Austin, Texas. And, to make things even more special, the evening also turned into a rare family affair.

THE Interstellar The star walked the blue carpet accompanied by his wife Camila Alves and their three adult children, Levi, 15, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11. The actor looked suave in a navy blue suit with a light blue shirt. brown shirt and dress shoes. His sons, meanwhile, looked like spitting images of their father wearing their own suits and white sneakers. Alves brought the glamor in an off-the-shoulder black dress with a scoop neckline and sequin embellishments, paired with black satin pumps, oversized silver hoop earrings and a wet hair look. The couple’s daughter was a carbon copy of her mother in a pretty pale pink dress with a sweetheart neckline and a flowing skirt with a floral design embroidered all over.

MJ&M is a joint fundraising effort by McConaughey, country musician Jack Ingram and football coaching legend Mack Brown. According to the official website, the gala is a two-day event that includes engagements in music, golf and fashion with the goal of raising funds to benefit “select non-profit organizations that reflect each MJ&M’s goal to empower children.” These organizations include CureDuchenne, Dell Children’s Medical Center, HeartGift, Just Keep Livin Foundation and The Rise School of Austin. Since its founding in 2012, MJ&M has donated more than $41 million to charity.

The last time the McConaugheys walked the red carpet as a family unit was in December 2021 for the Los Angeles premiere of Sing 2. Most recently, McConaughey and Alves enjoyed a parents-only party at the Oscars in March.
