Torpille bats have stormed the world of baseball – and some MLB launchers are not satisfied.
The lift of the Phillies Matt Strahm spoke of its disdain for the new bats thanks to a post on X this week, arguing that the launchers should have a competitive advantage to counter them.
“Let them use the bat they want. As much as the launchers use the strikers in the circle on the bridge,” posted Strahm on X. “And do not check us as if we are criminals each time we are walking or off the field.
“Not sticky because some of these things were a little too much,” added the Southpaw. “Anything that a striker can use to better enter a bat, we can also use.”
MLB repressed foreign substances during the 2021 season, as it was judged that the increase in rotation rates has created an unfair advantage for launchers.
After the change of rule, the referees now check the substance launchers before entering the game and between the sleeves.
Several MLB launchers have been ejected from the failure of the exams, which leads to a suspension of 10 games.
Strahm’s comments occur only a few days after the Brewers’ lifter Trevor Megill expressed his concerns behind Torpille bats.
“I think it’s terrible,” said Brewers Relief Ace Megill at the post concerning bats. “We will see what the data say. I have never seen anything like this before. I have the impression that it is something used in slow softball. It is a genius: put the mass in the same place.
The Torpille bats gained importance following the offensive eruption of the Yankees during the opening series last weekend which saw them hit nine best circuits against the Brewers during the match on Saturday.
The Anthony Volpe bombers, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Cody Bellinger are all among players using bats, which are in the parameters set out in the MLB rules book.
