Bayern Munich celebrated the Meisteschale With a categorical 2-0 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Bayern holds 79 points, 11 before second place Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Not too many players in the history of football have made a name for themselves like Thomas Müller. Although Müller’s story and impact on the club are outside the extent of the discussion for the moment, his performance today was in itself a classic Müller game, although it is regrettable that he cannot mark.
Müller started this evening in his classic number ten position and made his presence felt in the first minute. He was the one who identifies the spaces on the ground, which makes these passes apparently insignificant, but crucial. Despite the multiple holes that Gladbach was able to identify, Bayern remained a threatening presence due to the intelligence and consciousness of Müller.

The sweeping goalkeeper is back
Although there is a lot of doubt that Manuel Neuer was able to hold on after being absent for months, he closed all these doubts in style. When the defense failed, he stood. There have been several stops reminiscent of a classic neuer performance. Tim Kleinienne was particularly deadly tonight and it was the goalkeeper who made the clean leaf. Half the midfielder’s performance and the defense
Tonight was a story of two defense halves. The first half presented a reliable performance by Raphaël Guerreiro, Konrad Laimer, Eric Dier and Josip Stanišić. Konrad Laimer was really an underestimated hero this season with his crucial contributions in the attack sequences.
However, the second half presented several mental shortcomings while the counterattacks of Gladbach invaded the Bavarians at home. Although there were counterattacks in the first half, they often collapsed and lost goals.
This was not the case in the second period. Hack and Kleinieniet constantly exceeded the defense. The High Line is partly to blame, but the team must examine the impact of substitutions and how it has often derailed the rhythm of the game.
The midfielder had a silent game that left a lot to be desired. All this will be unpacked next season, because Müller will no longer be available to serve as a team tape.
What is the next step for this attack?
The attack, managed by Müller, had a fantastic match. Michael Olise had a performance from another world, from Arjen Robben. With a goal and an aid to his name, Olise was the star of the show. Harry Kane had a sub-optimal performance in my opinion, despite his contribution to the first objective.
Bayern needs Kane to be more a selfish attacker, moves as high as possible on the ground and poaching. However, he plays quite deep, sometimes even deeper than Müller or Musiala. A certain restructuring is necessary in the attack, but the future is brilliant because Olise and Kane have been absolutely phenomenal.
The future of Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry remains undecided, so fans will have to wait and see how it takes place. But it is certain that Bayern has now taken the most important transition period with the departure of Müller.
